In 2008, the Consortium organized a PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) Working Group to focus on creating a holistic response to PTSD in particular and the challenge of life adversities in general.

Research   
In 2008, the Consortium launched a statewide survey on the extent of psychological trauma history and its correlation on health conditions. This survey is part of the Hawaii Health Survey.

Following the July 2006 symposium focusing on the state of research in integrative healthcare, the Consortium facilitated a research working group to explore ongoing research activities, research needs and resources.  It also conducted a literature search (under a grant from HMSA) on the state of the art in treatment and prevention of obesity.

The Consortium also designed and administered a survey on the use of CAM treatments by cancer patients (funded by DOH).  Click on "Consortium Material" (at left) for these documents.
